About the event

Navaratri, meaning "Nine Nights," is a festival dedicated to Goddess Durga in her various forms. Each day is associated with a different manifestation of the goddess, and devotees observe fasting, prayers, and dance performances like Garba and Dandiya. The festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil, commemorating Goddess Durga’s triumph over the demon Mahishasura.

In North India, Ramleela performances narrate the story of Lord Rama, leading up to Dussehra. In South India, Golu (doll arrangements) are displayed in homes. The final day, Vijayadashami, marks new beginnings and is considered auspicious for starting new ventures and learning.

At Soul Search, Navaratri is observed for the entire ten days, with seekers gathering to chant hymns, sing bhajans, and participate in Satsang to express complete love and faith, seeking the blessings and divine grace of the Universal Mother.
